Preschool

Our Mission Statement

The mission of Holy Ghost Lutheran Preschool is to provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for children. We are committed to providing learning experience for each child in preparation for early success and school readiness. Our focus is to provide an encouraging educational experience, promoting social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and religious development. Holy Ghost Lutheran Preschool provides a learning environment that supports children to develop strenths and skills necessary for them to construct their own knowledge and prepare them for their next school environment.

Our Vision

The ultimate vision we have here at Holy Ghost is twofold and rooted in both the present and the future.

For the present, our goal is for parents to feel good about their choice, and that their children are safe, engaged, educated, and smiling. For the future, we want these children to warmly look back at their experience with us and see it as a cherished part of their childhood.

Our Philosophy

Guided by high expectations and coupled with the knowledge that all children learn at different levels and speeds, our staff will provide students with a broad range of educational and exciting opportunities that will encourage each child to grow in their own abilities. Children will have a safe and nurturing educational experience in which they can develop the skills needed to express themselves through words, art, and other creative areas. Holy Ghost Lutheran Preschool will provide hands-on learning opportunities that will help to develop literacy, mathematical, and scientific learning leading to critical and creative thinking. Children will also be exposed to positive character lessons and experience through religious education, used to help shape them into successful members of a social world.

Parents are their children’s first, and most important, teachers. Holy Ghost Lutheran Preschool understands and respects this important role and recognizes that parents are an integral part of the educational process. Parent involvement is actively sought, encouraged, and welcomed in our program. Working together as a team, the teacher and parents will ensure that their child is successful in gaining the self-confidence and independence needed for their future school experiences.
